Hachi: A Dog’s Tale

“This film will touch your heart.” – Francine Brokaw, Los Angeles Family Magazine
This movie is a sad, beautiful story. It’s based on a true story. Professor Parker Wilson finds a lost Akita puppy named Hachi at a train station. Then he decides to take the puppy home with him. As time goes by, they become close and develop a great friendship. Every morning, Hachi goes with Parker to the train station. Then Parker goes to work. Every afternoon, Hachi comes back to the train station and waits for Parker to arrive there from work. Then they go home together. After Parker dies, Hachi misses Parker and waits for Parker to come back. Hachi’s love still never goes away even after Parker dies. Hachi is the best dog I’ve ever gotten to know.
I love this movie. It’s inspiring.

Hachi (or Hachiko) was born on November 10, 1923 and died on March 8, 1935 at age 12.
In my opinion, this movie is a must-see for everyone of all ages! After Hachi dies, there is a bronze statue of him sitting in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya train station in Tokyo, Japan.
Here is the picture of that statue:

This faithful dog sits waiting for Parker to come back and wishes Parker a long life.
