Ladies Only: Drink 3 Cups of Coffee A Day

Written by Annie Kwon
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive, neurodegenerative disease characterized by memory loss, language deterioration, impaired ability to mentally manipulate visual information, poor judgment, confusion, restlessness, and mood swings.
In the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease published the new finding that in trials, over 200 participants over 65 years of age, drinking 3 cups of coffee a day have shown the effectiveness against the damage of Alzheimer’s Disease. MRI brain scans revealed that women who drank three cups of coffee per day (or 6 cups of tea) had lost less brain tissue called white matter than those who drank less.
However, it doesn’t work for men and drinking less than 3 days were not effective.

I read this too, and started drinking 3 cups a day, though now I can’t sleep at night. Saw a DVD recently which looks at how the creative arts helps those with Alzeheimers’s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54AtoQVGfwU

If you’re under 65 years old and if you’re not used to drinking so much coffee, I don’t recommend drinking 3 cups of coffee a day. The clinical trials only recruited people over 65 years of age and they only studied on the effects of coffee from elderly people. So we don’t know what effects will 3 cups of coffee will have on younger people. Don’t drink just because a new discovery was found.
If you want to fight against the possible Alzheimer’s Disease, you should engage the thinking like reading a book or having good debates or like the video you showed us, you can paint and interpret other paintings at the museum.
