15-year-old Dawn Boozer-Carter and her 41-year-old mother Tina got hit by SUV this past May 22. Dawn was the Deaf student from the Indiana School For The Deaf. Since the incident, she had been in a coma and was taken care of, but sadly, she passed away. Her mother is still alive. Because of that incident, 43-year-old Derek Dewitt got arrested. He drove between 60 and 70 mph and hit Dawn and her mother while they were raising money for the girls’ basketball team. It was not an accident. What was going on? The reason why he did that is because he thought he saw something evil but ended up hitting two people. He had mental problems.
