I’ve had the pleasure of serving many deaf students at local universities here in the DFW area with C.A.R.T. I agree that there is nothing disabled about them. The hearing people communicate with their voices and deaf communicate with their hands. Big deal!

I really don’t know what I need to do for help. I don’t have transportation and although I have a hearing phone I still cannot hear well enough to answer it. i am totally deaf in my left ear and the right one is getting worse every day. My hands don’t work eally well (or my head) to learn sign language. My eyes are pretty good for an 83 year old lady. What can I do to help understand people? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for listening,
Cecilia
