Forbidden Love

Written by Annie Kwon
The story of forbidden love is as old as time. The best classic story of forbidden love would be “Romeo and Juliet”. Romeo and Juliet fell in love but could not be together because of their parents’ rivalry. The only way was to run away together but how they did it was tragic. This classic story is not an original for William Shakespeare is known for borrowing ideas from other books. Perhaps it is based on Roman mythology of two people named Pyramus and Thisbe.
The point I’m trying to make is that the tragic love story is enigmatic because it happens everywhere throughout the time. The forbidden love is set by cultural and geographical boundaries or it could be simply be created because other people are very biased on certain things like wealth, age, social class, or unfair peer cognitive minds.
I don’t have a forbidden love story of my own. I haven’t seen forbidden love yet in my group of friends. So I’m asking you to share your forbidden love story if you have one by writing in the comment below. And what would you advise if someone is in the forbidden love with someone else?
