Walt Disney

Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 5, 1901. His birth name was Walter Elias Disney. He was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Working as a co-founder of Walt Disney Productions with his brother, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded is now known as The Walt Disney Company and it receives about $35 billion every year in profits.
Disney is very famous for being a film producer, a popular showman, and an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created the world’s most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse. Disney himself was the original voice for the character Mickey Mouse. He has won 26 Academy Awards and got more awards and nominations than any other individual. Also he won 7 Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, Japan, France, and China.

Disney died on December 15, 1966 at age 65 because of lung cancer. He is considered as a legend and a folk hero of the 20th century because he inspired millions of Americans than any other man in history.
